Nobody wore a Goodyear cheer uniform before August 2025. Here's how a brand-new program got here.

1. May2025

   The account goes live

   The official Goodyear cheer Instagram launches ahead of summer Spiritline clinics for future Mavericks.

2. Aug2025

   The first-ever squad

   Tryouts are held the week after the school opens, and Goodyear names its first cheerleaders.

3. Aug 272025

   First football game

   The Mavericks play the first football game in school history, with the squad on the sideline.

4. Oct 52025

   First performance: an NFL field

   The squad's very first show is at halftime of Cardinals vs. Titans, performing with the Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders at State Farm Stadium.

5. Oct2025

   First win in Goodyear history

   The last home game of the season ends with the football team's first-ever win.

6. Feb2026

   Season one wraps

   The first season ends with the last basketball game of the year, a Blue Out.

7. Apr2026

   A competition team

   The first competition tryouts name 12 athletes to compete for the first time in school history.

8. Jul2026

   First trophies

   At UCA camp the squad earns blue ribbons, the spirit stick and a Pin It Forward pin, then places 4th in the Camp Routine and 5th in the Spirit Routine.

9. Aug2026

   Year two kicks off

   New athletes join both teams, and the Mavs win the first home game of the season 36–12.

10. Sep2026

    The first sponsor

    OMG Marketing signs on as the booster club's first sponsor of the season.

11. Nov 292026

    Back at State Farm Stadium

    Goodyear returns for the Cardinals high school halftime show. Details and tickets
